Beyond launches two factual series

September 4, 2014 by TVA Editor

Beyond Distribution announced new relationships with two New Zealand production companies, picking up Life Flight and Real Lives Less Ordinary. Produced by Starfish Pictures and Jam TV respectively, these factual series will launch at MIPCOM.

“Each of these two new series are of a genre that New Zealand producers excel in,” commented Yvonne Body, Head of Acquisitions at Beyond Distribution. “There is a tradition of blue light shows from New Zealand – we have a number in our catalogue which perform superbly. We also have an eager market for programs with strong human-interest stories”.

Life Flight (10 x 30’), produced by Starfish Pictures for TVNZ New Zealand, follows the inspirational crew of a 24/7 emergency air service in some of the most challenging flying conditions in the world. Flying saves crucial time that could mean the difference between life and death.

Real Lives Less Ordinary (10 x 30’) is an intimate series produced for TVNZ by Jam TV, featuring everyday people who have an extraordinary story to tell. The stories are of astonishing achievements, triumph over adversity, kindness to others, a life transformation and more.

Returning series Motorway Patrol series 15 and Highway Patrol series 6 from Greenstone TV will also launch at MIPCOM.
