Foxtel announced on August 4 that starting in August, customers can enjoy four new channels via Foxtel Play, Foxtel’s internet delivered subscription service. Newly launched BBC First joins the Foxtel Play stable of programming along with popular entertainment programmes on Lifestyle Food and Lifestyle Home and documentary channel Crime + Investigation. Foxtel Play customers will have access to up to 50 live and 53 on-demand channels.
BBC First is available for Foxtel Play subscribers who select the Drama pick as part of their package. Lifestyle Food and Lifestyle Home, available under the Entertainment pick, and Crime + Investigation, part of the Documentary pick, will follow shortly after on August 5.

Programming highlights for the new channels in August and September include: BBC First – The Musketeers, Peaky Blinders, The Politician’s Husband and Burton & Taylor; Lifestyle Food – Come Dine with Me Couples; Lifestyle Home – Selling Houses, You Live in What?; Crime + Investigation – Westbrook.
Foxtel has also increased the availability of Complete Seasons delivered to Foxtel Play and residential subscribers giving customers the opportunity to discover and catch up on hit series and new favourites. New additions featuring in August and September include: Orange is The New Black season 1; Girls season 1 & 2; House of Anubis season 1-3; Boardwalk Empire season 3 & 4 and True Blood season 5 & 6.
Foxtel Play enables customers with a broadband connection to watch programmes from Foxtel’s amazing range of drama, entertainment, documentary and movie channels live or on catch-up without the need for a set-top box.
Foxtel Play offers customers access to content within minutes of signing up and enables them to subscribe by the month and pay as they go. With no lock-in contract and no installation costs, subscribers can stop and start their subscription month-to-month, to suit their circumstances or viewing choices.
Foxtel Play customers also have access to Foxtel Go as part of their subscription. In addition to their primary device, customers can register Foxtel Go on up to two additional devices including selected iPads and iPhones and selected Samsung Android tablets and smartphones.
