Tom Roe, Commercial Director of DHX Media, said: “In the Night Garden is a universally appealing brand and we are pleased to have ABC and Fusion on board to extend the reach of its magic even further across Australia. We look forward to providing more ways for pre-schoolers and their families to enjoy the whimsical world of Igglepiggle and his friends in this key market.”
Gail Mitchell, Managing Director of The Fusion Agency, commented: “We are thrilled to be working with DHX Media on In the Night Garden. Preschool properties with a heritage such as this are hard to find. We know there has been steady, natural growth in this brand over recent years and are excited to be able to partner locally with best in class licensees to continue and expand that growth.”
Since its UK launch in March 2007, In the Night Garden has achieved global success with programmes airing in 36 countries, including USA, Canada, Australia, Spain and China and has been translated into 19 different languages. The programme has been consistently on air since its launch in 2007, and DHX Media has signed a deal with broadcaster CBeebies ensuring the series will air until late 2020 in the UK.
