A third series is under discussion.
The Honourable Miss Phryne Fisher – our lady sleuth – sashays through the back streets, jazz clubs and divine mansions of the 1920s, fighting injustice with her pearl-handled pistol and her dagger sharp wit. Leaving a trail of admirers in her wake, our thoroughly modern heroine enjoys life and ruffles feathers, while solving all manner of mysteries along the way.
Aided by Dot, the sweetest of maids, the somewhat reluctant Detective Inspector Jack Robinson and not forgetting society matron, Aunt Prudence of course, Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries is a classic who-dunnit murder-mystery series – and one classy offering!
The series is made by Every Cloud Productions for ABC, Australia, and is funded by ABC TV, ABC Commercial, Film Victoria, Screen Australia and all3media international.
Louise Pedersen, Managing Director at all3media international, added: “Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries has gone from strength to strength on the global stage and we’re delighted to see the second season promising equal success. From the moment we became involved with this series we could see its great international potential. The meticulous and opulent recreation of the 1920s combined with outstanding performances and lively stories from award-winning author Kerry Greenwood creates fantastic primetime viewing, which holds strong appeal for a wide audience demographic.”
