This is a very important market for us with a strong appetite for entertainment formats, and we’re proud that, in one of the most crowded genres in the formats industry, Stars in Danger: The High Divecontinues to resonate with buyers. A strong track record of both sales and ratings alongside attention-grabbing, readily translatable format pillars help it to stand out from the rest. We’re looking forward to securing even more new deals at NATPE this week as the global roll-out of the show continues.”
Stars in Danger: The High Dive was developed by Banijay Group company Brainpool and has been a ratings winner for German commercial broadcaster ProSieben over nine seasons since 2004.
The entertainment phenomenon that literally takes it to the next level, Stars in Danger: The High Dive sees brave celebrities take on the challenge of their lives as they compete in a truly frightening and dangerous discipline: diving. The stars are introduced through reality segments as they undergo intense training with a top diver. Then, on set at a large swimming pool and in front of a huge live audience, they’ll undertake a range of different dives: high diving, hand stands, somersaults, backwards jumps, even synchronized dives. The crowd roars, pool-side hosts lead proceedings and expert judges award points for each dive. Only one star will be the winner.
