“We continue to secure partnerships with top notch broadcasters around the globe to debut Doozers to young audiences worldwide,” said Goldsmith. “Joining forces with Nickelodeon Australia and airing Doozers on the Nick Jr. channel allows us to reach a broad audience in our core demographic, and we have no doubt that children in Australia will embrace our unique series.”
Doozers made its Australian premiere on October 7, 2013, and new episodes will continue to air weekdays on Nick Jr. which is broadcast in Australia by subscription television service, Foxtel.
Doozers will also debut in multiple territories across Europe, the Middle East and Africa on Turner Broadcasting’s preschool channel, Cartoonito, reaching 125 million homes. Further, Turner Enterprises has been appointed the product licensing rights for the same territories. In addition to debuting on Cartoonito and Nick Jr., the series is also set to debut on Discovery Kids Latin America and Cartoon Network Asia.
Inspired by the popular characters from the classic Henson series Fraggle Rock, Doozers (52 x 11′) is a new CG animated series for preschoolers from The Jim Henson Company (Dinosaur Train, Sid the Science Kid) and DHX Media (Yo Gabba Gabba!, Super WHY!). The series is produced with assistance from the Nova Scotia Film Industry Tax Credit and with the participation of The Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit.
