Los Angeles, CA – Saban Brands and MarVista Entertainment will officially debut the upcoming season, Power Rangers Super Megaforce, to the international television market at MIP Jr. this year.

Power Rangers Super Megaforce

Following the August 2013 announcement of the UK’s Channel 5 acquisition of Saban’s PowerRangers Megaforce, Saban Brands and MarVista Entertainment have finalised licensing agreements with several additional leading broadcast partners around the globe for this latest installment of the phenomenal Power Rangers franchise.

New broadcast partners signed in Europe include Mediaset’s Italia 1 and Boing (Italy), and Club RTL (Belgium & Luxembourg); in Australia, Channel 9; in Asia, Nickelodeon India, and MBC (Middle East); and in Africa, ETV.

“Every one of our newly signed broadcasters for Power Rangers Megaforce are existing partners for the franchise, each one already bringing Power Rangers Samurai and Power Rangers Super Samurai to viewers in their territories,” commented Fernando Szew, CEO, MarVista Entertainment.  “It’s a testament to Saban Brands’ ongoing vision and creativity for the Power Rangers franchise that the series, now in its 20th season, continues to attract top tier broadcast partners and a loyal fan base all over the world.”

Saban’s Power Rangers Megaforce is currently airing on Nickelodeon and Nicktoons in North America; on YTV and Teletoon in Canada; on Gulli and Canal J in France; and in the UK on Channel 5, with several new broadcast partners to be announced in the coming weeks.

Power Rangers continues to garner top ratings for broadcast partners around the world (source: Eurodata TV Worldwide).  For the week of March 11, 2013, Power Rangers Samurai took the top spots as follows: airing on Gulli in France, the series ranked as the #1 kids program with Boys 4-14; on Nickelodeon in Germany, it ranked #2 with Boys 6-9; on Nickelodeon in the UK, the series received a #1 ranking with Boys 4-6; and in Australia on Nine Network’s GO!, the series garnered a #1 ranking with Individuals 5-12.

The new series focuses on the Rangers’ mission to defeat a massive alien army Armada that was sent to conquer Earth. To face this threat, Gosei, a supernatural guardian who has protected Earth for centuries, gives theRangers special morphers and keys, which allow them to morph into Super Megaforce Rangers. The Rangers also have an added special ability to morph into any team of Power Rangers from the past.
