Pan Asia deals have been agreed with Fox Crime for Mentorn Media’s documentary Captive in Cleveland (1 x 60’), while Sony Entertainment Television Asia picked up Scripps Networks International’s Cupcake Wars (14 x 60′) S7.
LIC China completed deals for Oscar Pistorius: What Really Happened? (1 x 60′) and Superstorm USA: Caught On Camera (1 x 60′), which were both produced by Mentorn Media. LIC China also agreed terms for the series Abby & Brittany: College and Beyond ( 8 x 30′), from Figure 8 Films, which continues to follow conjoined twins Abby and Brittany Hensall as they try and live normal lives. The broadcaster also licensed Scripps Networks International’s Got Home Alive (13 x 60′) and Pioneer Productions’ How To Change Your Body (2 x 60′). Further deals were also finalised into China with Happy Movie Media, securing Earth Shocks: Mega Volcano (1 x 60′) by Mentorn Media and In The Womb – Fight For Life (1 x 60′), from Pioneer Productions for CCTV.
Thai broadcaster True Corp has licensed Passion’s unscripted factual content including Forecasting The End (6 x 30’), by The Weather Channel and My New Hand (1 x 60’), by True North Productions. It has also licensed Edwardian Insects On Film (1 x 60’), by Mentorn Media and Scripps Networks International’s Food Feuds (9 x 30’) and You Live In What? (14 x 60’).
Japan’s Fuji TV secured the premiere of World Of Wonder’s Rupaul’s Drag Race (9 x 60’), while Tokyovision secured Mentorn Media’s World’s Scariest S3 (1 x 60’) for World Great TV. Nippon Television also licensed Flying Car (1 x 60’) by Mentorn Media.
Property programming proved popular in Hong Kong with deals for Selling London (8 x 30’) and International Open House (8 x 30’) by Scripps Networks International being agreed with TVB Jade.
Other deals in the region include Fox International Channels (FIC) concluding terms for James Martin’s Mediteranean (10 x 30’), from UKTV. In addition, Singaporean broadcaster TV4ME licensed the home makeover series West End Salvage (13 x 30’), which was produced by Pie Town Productions for Scripps Networks International’s home channel, HGTV.
