Hanoi – K+ Satellite Digital Television announced their ownership of the broadcast rights of popular football leagues, now available on three K+ channels. Additional broadcast rights of football leagues include Bundesliga, League One, League Two and the qualification matches and international friendly matches of the World Cup 2014 by UEFA and CONMEBEL.
Following the last two seasons, K+ will broadcast all football matches of 38 rounds of the 2012-2013 EPL including weekday matches and weekend matches in both SD and HD formats. At present, in Vietnam, K+ remains the sole owner of the broadcast rights of the EPL’s Sunday matches. K+ has also obtained the ownership of the broadcast rights of the two national football leagues – La Liga and Serie A from the season 2012-2013 to the end of the season 2014-2015.
The UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, Ligue 1 and MLS will air on K+ channels during the season 2012 – 2013.
In addition, a Commentator Hunt has been organised to select and train new K+ commentators.All candidates who pass the qualification round shall be entitled to join a training course held by international and local top commentators. Every week, they will be given a challenge to overcome and the five best candidates will be selected for the title “Inspirer”.
Accompanying programmes made by K+ include Super Match, featuring the comments of football experts before, during and after super matches on K+ every weekend; the Best Team talk show with interesting information behind the scenes and Extra Time, focusing on hot topics of international sports during the week.
Following this season, K+ will apply the Multifoot application on K+1 in both SD and HD formats. The application permits audience to follow and directly update dramatic changes and spectacular situations of up to 8 football matches at the same point of time on a TV screen without switching channels. With Multifoot, K+ viewers can watch the developments of their selected football match without missing spectacular situations or information from concurrent matches. K+ is the first operator in Vietnam applying the Multifoot technology.
