Frame is an intense social drama that explores the fragile line between professionalism and humanity, where ethics are constantly tested and morality exists in shades of grey. Set in the newsroom of a Pune-based newspaper, the film follows Chandu Pansare, a seasoned photojournalist driven by a ruthless “click first” philosophy, and Sidharth Deshmukh, an idealistic newcomer struggling to balance professional duty with compassion.
Their opposing perspectives are put to the test when a devastating earthquake strikes, drawing them into a landscape of chaos, grief, and fragile survival. As they navigate the aftermath, documenting lives amid rubble, loss, and moments of resilience, the divide between observer and participant begins to dissolve. Each decision to capture or withhold an image forces them to grapple with their own beliefs, confronting the emotional and ethical toll of witnessing, and profiting from, human suffering.
