CBS’ The Big Bang Theory bagged several awards at the 3rd annual Critics’ Choice Television Awards, including Best Comedy Series, Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series (Simon Helberg) and Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy, where
Kaley Cuoco tied with Eden Sher from ABC’s The Middle.
Highlights of other networks’ wins:
HBO performed well too, with Game of Thrones winning Best Drama Series together with AMC’s Breaking Bad and Julia Louis-Dreyfus winning Best Actress in a Comedy Series for Veep, among other wins and nominations.
The Awards were held the evening of Monday, June 10 at The Beverly Hilton Hotel, and were hosted by the Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA). The awards honour nominated programmes and performances aired between 1 June 2012
and 31 May 2013.
