PromaxBDA has announced the results for the 2013 PromaxBDA Global Excellence Awards which was held on June 20, 2013 in Los Angeles.
Australia’s Foxtel, leads the pack with 34 wins – 5 Golds, 20 Silvers, and 5 Bronze. The pay-TV operator’s wins includes Silver in the category of Entertainment Programme Spot for Lifestyle Food’s Hell’s Kitchen, as well as Silver in the category of Special Event Promo Spot (Olympics) for its on-platform campaign.
Singapore’s only terrestrial broadcaster MediaCorp bagged 18 awards, while Viacom18 Media Pvt Ltd (India) bagged 13 wins for Comedy Central India. Other notable wins include a Bronze and Gold for Fox International Channels (FIC) Singapore, seven awards scored by Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific, eight wins clinched by the BBC brand, five wins by HBO Singapore, and seven awards earned by National Geographic Channels (NGC) and National Geographic Channels International (NGCI) cumulatively. Additionally, Nickelodeon earned Gold in the category of Children’s Programme Spot or Campaign for SpongeBob Top 100.
The PromaxBDA Awards competitions stand for marketing excellence in the media marketing space and collectively, through its numerous regional and sector-specific competitions, are regarded as the most prestigious awards for creative endeavour in this field.
