Global distribution and production company Off the Fence (OTF) has announced a number of acquisitions from broadcasters worldwide, including UKTV’s Yesterday, FOX India and Film Garden in the U.S. The deals see OTF grow its distribution catalogue to over 6500 hours across a number of genres.
Georgina Eyre, Head of Acquisitions, Off the Fence, said, “Following our recent deals with Tangled Bank (Howard Hughes Medical Institute) and Fox Lifestyle, Off the Fence is delighted to be representing and supporting new producers and acquiring catalogues globally. We are continuing to supply programming to our traditional clients but are also exploring new business models and we are increasingly active in emerging markets.”
In India, OTF has acquired 82 hours worth of programming from FOX Traveller featuring a mixture of adrenaline fuelled travel, an exploration into the male psyche and delicious Indian cuisine. Lead titles include The Freaky Traveller (26×30’), Twist of Taste (26×60’) and It Only Happens in India (26×30’). The company has also acquired content from Italy, Spain, the UK and the U.S.
