Turner Broadcasting System International is partnering with TNT on the new medical series Monday Mornings, which debuts on TNT in the U.S. in February, followed by premieres on various TNT international networks. Furthermore, Turner Broadcasting System International will make Monday Mornings available for syndication in many territories worldwide later this year.
Based on Dr. Sanjay Gupta’s acclaimed novel, Monday Mornings follows the lives of doctors as they push the limits of their abilities and confront their personal and professional failings. The title refers to the hospital’s weekly morbidity and mortality conference, when doctors gather with their peers for a confidential review of complications and errors in patient care.
At Turner’s private screening of Monday Mornings during the Asia Television Forum last week, Grace Chan, Executive Director, Syndication, Asia Pacific, Turner International Asia Pacific Ltd, said, “I personally have seen this pilot two times, and I am liking it more and more. It touched my heart very much and I hope you will like it as much as I did.”
Monday Mornings is produced by TNT Originals and David E. Kelley Productions. Kelley, Bill D’Elia (Boston Legal, The West Wing) and Gupta serve as executive producers.
