Dallas and New York – ONE World Sports (OWS), the first English language multi-screen, multi-platform Asia-focused network in the U.S., announced that it is now available on Simul TV, a social television technology that allows viewers to simultaneously stream content.
OWS is a leader in Asian sports coverage, featuring LIVE and same day coverage of top Asian sporting events including Japanese baseball, Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Soccer and the OneAsia golf tour.
“Simul TV is an excellent platform for OWS,” said Dave Almstead, CEO ONE Media Corp, the parent company of OWS. “It allows sports fans in North America to watch their favorite sports at the same time as their friends and family in Asia. They can root for their favorite teams and cheer the action with their mates via the picture-in-picture technology.”
This partnership comes at a time when there are more than 10 million Asians already living in the U.S., with an estimated 400 thousand more to arrive each year.
Previously, blogs and forums were a popular place to show loyalty and post opinions but most sites lacked the ability to stream LIVE gaming events. Now, Asian sports fans can watch hometown legends from premiere Chinese Basketball and Golf Leagues to Gymnastics and Aquatics.
