Sydney, Australia – The episode Follow Me from the preschool TV series Guess How Much I Love You – The Adventures of Little Nutbrown Hare has won the Children’s Television P Classification category in this year’s Australian Writers’ Guild AWGIE awards.
Written by David Evans, Follow Me was one of three episodes nominated in the category from the animated series. The other episodes were Favourite Thing (written by David Evans) and Snowflake (written by Jane Schneider).
Announced in Sydney on August 24, the AWGIE awards recognise and reward excellence in performance writing and are the only writers’ awards that are judged solely by writers and judging is based on the writer’s script.
The preschool show from Australia’s SLR Productions, Germany’s KI.KA and Singapore’s Scrawl Studios is a 52 x 11 minute series and a first time adaptation of the classic picture book, Guess How Much I Love You.
