Factual distributor Electric Sky has penned a number of deals in Asia this month. The company announced deals in Japan, Hong Kong, India and China.
Some of the deals in Japan include terrestrial broadcaster NHK picking up cookery series Glamour Puds Series 2 (10 x 23 minutes) by The Last Word productions for Channel 4, and ballet performance title Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (1 x 150 minutes), produced by The Royal Opera House and filmed in HD.
With the centenary of the sinking of the Titanic coming up this month, TFC in Japan and Phoenix TV in Hong Kong have picked up docu-drama Waking the Titanic (1 x 52 minutes) by GMarsh TV Productions.
Elsewhere, Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific (DNAP) has picked up a number of Electric Sky titles including Game Changer: London 2012 (1 x 60 minutes) by ITN Productions. This documentary special includes personal stories from those involved in delivering the Games and features interviews with sporting legends David Beckham and Lord Seb Coe. DNAP also picked up cookery show My Cypriot Kitchen (10 x 22 minutes) and documentary series Beautiful Minds (3 x 52 minutes).
