London / Beijing – China Central Television (CCTV) has launched three of its channels in the UK, targeting Chinese speaking audiences there. The Chinese network is using Vision IPTV’s internet broadcasting platform FreeviewHD channel 111, to deliver content. Viewers visiting channel 111 with an internet connected television or set top box have access via an onscreen carousel to these free-to-air channels of live 24/7 broadcast. The three CCTV channels are; CCTV Channel 9, which features a mixture of film and drama; CCTV Channel 4, which provides a range of documentaries; while a third channel provides the latest news coverage from China and worldwide.
