Casbaa, Hong Kong – International satellite operator SES, announced plans to extend its coverage across the Asia Pacific market. The company plans to launch eight new satellites by 2014, including the SES-8, which is scheduled for launch in 2013 and will provide expansion capacity for the South Asia and Indochina markets. The fleet extension programme will increase SES’ global fleet capacity by 23 per cent, compared to 2010. Approximately 85 per cent of this new satellite capacity will be dedicated to emerging markets such as Asia and the Middle East.
