CNN Worldwide has unveiled a brand new iReport with social features and curation tools for iReporters and all news consumers. Fresh features include groups, where iReporters can join communities and follow topics of interest; a rich 16×9 HD multi-media player that supports photos, videos and audio; and an enhanced uploader for more efficient uploading of images. “We want to create a social network for news, one that connects people with the stories and sources,” said Lila King, participation director for CNN Digital. “The new iReport invites people to participate in the reporting of stories that matter to them.”
