KidsCo today announced that it has commissioned its first ever long-form HD series, Sinbad in Space (26×11 mins). The series, set to debut globally in the second half of 2012, explores possible environmental issues that might plague the planetary system in the year 2,940. It re-imagines the classic story of Sinbad, replacing his ship with a futuristic spaceship and transporting him across the universe, along with his friends Zac, Fred and Lana. Image Venture will perform animation, and concept and pre-production will be performed by Raja Masilamani, Creative Director at Creative Media Partners, who was also key creative on KidsCo’s original production Boo & Me series 1 and 2.
