Miami – The rights to Venevision International’s television series, The Black Widow, have been sold to Indonesian concept production team, PT. Wayang Sinema, in a deal announced today. The Black Widow is being billed as the first-ever mini-series format to reach Indonesian television. PT. Wayang Sinema will produce a local version of the show, under the scripting and illustrations of Gobind Lal and Rudy Sutopo. The mini-series will chronicle the life of the ‘widow’ in different guises pictured through an imaginational lens of visual and make-up artists from Indonesia and Hollywood. PT. Wayang Sinema is currently evaluating possible ventures and collaborations with some of Indonesia’s top companies to produce the series. Pre-production is expected to kick off in late 2011.
