London – Tigress Productions, an Endemol company has been commissioned by UK broadcaster Channel 5 to produce Red Sea Jaws, a documentary about the recent shark attacks in Sharm el- Sheikh. The popular tourist resort in Egypt hit the headlines last month when four swimmers were brutally attacked and one killed in a spate of unprecedented shark attacks. Red Sea Jaws dramatically pieces together the spine-chilling events that unfolded over five days and reports on the ongoing investigation into why the attacks happened. From eye witness and survivor accounts – some speaking on camera for the first time about their ordeals – to testimonies from rescue divers and the doctors who administered emergency treatment. Red Sea Jaws is available to international broadcasters from Endemol Worldwide Distribution and will be launched at MIPTV 2011.
