Burbank, CA – Cookie Jar Entertainment’s streaming video destination for kids, Jaroo.com, is going mobile. Together with Brainstorm Communications and SyncTV, Cookie Jar has launched the Jaroo app for iPhones and iPads for free through the iTunes store, and an Android app is coming soon. The Jaroo app debuts with over 50 full-length episodes of hit television series which will appeal to kids and kids-at-heart. From the preschool powerhouse The Doodlebops, girls favorite Strawberry Shortcake, and hit comedy Johnny Test, to retro classics for mom and dad like Inspector Gadget and Super Mario Bros, the Jaroo app is the perfect solution for free entertainment on the go. “Mobile devices are quickly becoming the center of the media universe for today’s kids. With the demand for kids-focused mobile content, apps, and advertising growing rapidly we feel it is the right moment for Cookie Jar to enter the market and Jaroo, with its diverse array of shows, is the perfect product offering,” says Kenneth Locker, SVP, Digital Media, Cookie Jar Entertainment. Brainstorm Communications, a multi-Emmy Award winning design firm has managed all of the design and programming for this app, and SyncTV will be handling all the distribution and content management.
