The Lifestyle Channel, run by xyz network, was named Australia’s best pay-TV channel at the ASTRA awards in Sydney. It won the channel-of-the-year award in competition with more than 110 channels broadcast on the Foxtel, Austar and Optus subscription TV platforms. The annual awards are staged by the Australian Subscription Television and Radio Association. The Lifestyle Channel also won the most outstanding lifestyle program and presenter awards for the program, Selling Houses Australia, and its host Andrew Winter. The Sound Relief concert on Channel V and Max was most outstanding music programme and FOX8’s Australia’s Next Top Model was named most outstanding light entertainment programme.
