Fox Int’l Channels (FIC) were quick to exploit the marketing potential of Golden Globes awards for key shows airing on its channels in Asia. With the Awards show having aired live in Asia on Star World the morning of 18 January, ad breaks in the primetime repeat telecast were fully exploited to cross-promote Globe-winning content on FIC’s wide GE portfolio of channels. Ad breaks immediately following the announcement of key TV awards contained promos for that show on a sibling Fox Int’l channel. Golden Globe-winning shows currently airing on FIC’s portfolio include Mad Men (on FX), Dexter (on Fox Crime), 30 Rock and Glee (on Star World). Special series Marathons and celebratory content has been programmed around the Award-winning shows on Fox channels in the coming weeks.
