Hong Kong – Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific, Inc. (TBSAP) announced plans to launch a new entertainment channel, truTV across Asia. Scheduled for launch in early 2010, truTV will feature original programming that is unscripted. The announcement follows hot on the heels of Turner’s recent entertainment and lifestyle channel acquisitions, MONDO 21 and Tabi Channel in Japan. “As with our new channels in Japan, the truTV launch represents our ongoing investment to expand our networks in Asia. We’re confident that this channel will develop a significant viewer base in Asia,” said Ian Carroll, executive vice president, TBSAP.
