Hallmark Channel’s pan-regional reality show The Biggest Loser Asia, is set to debut on 24 November 2009, then every Tuesday at 9pm (SG, MY, PH, HK)and 8pm (TH, WIB). Contestants will be split into two competing teams, blue and red, trained by KL-based Kiwi expatriate Dave Nuku and Australian Kristy Curtis. As a personal trainer in his hometown of Wellington NZ, Nuku trained the cast and crew of the Lord of The Rings trilogy for cinematic fitness. His opposite number is Australian-Chinese health and wellness expert Kristy Curtis. The Biggest Loser Asia is the first Asian version of NBC’s unscripted weight-loss reality series. Contestants compete to lose weight for a US$100,000 cash prize. Call for entries began June 2009. The final 30 contestants will be unveiled 24 November 2009 on Hallmark Channel. Hallmark Channel’s production partner Imagine Group is best-known in the region for The Contender Asia. Imagine Group works with the likes of Mark Burnett Productions and ShineReveille to deliver television content to both Asian and International Markets.
