Hong Kong – Amidst the ongoing restructure between STAR and Fox International Channels Asia (FICA), some senior executives appointments and relocations have been confirmed. Ward Platt, president of Fox International Channels Asia, relocates to Hong Kong from Tokyo. Avi Himatsinghani relocates to Singapore to assume the role of senior vice president and general manager ASEAN, Fox International Channels Asia. He will oversee operations in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. Himatsinghani was formerly senior vice president revenue and partnerships for Fox International Channels Asia and National Geographic Channels Asia. Jonathan Ellis, currently STAR TV’s senior vice president of advertising sales, will head up the regional ad sales for Fox International Channels Asia. His exact job title has yet to be confirmed. Asked about the current ad sales team in Singapore, FICA spokesperson said, “As far I know, that team will remain on board, but we are still in the middle of this sizeable restructure and some things still have to be finalized.” She said a major announcement about the new structure will be made on 8 October 2009.
