China – The website for the grand celebration marking the 60th anniversary of the founding of New China has gone online on 22 September 2009. The website (www.60newchina.cn), constructed by People’s Daily Online (PD Online), offers latest news, announcement and communications, media service as well as live broadcast in Chinese (traditional and simplified) and English, and provides journalists from both home and abroad with all the information on the grand celebration marking the 60th anniversary of the founding of New China. A working group of PD Online will station at the centre offering information query and technical services. Meanwhile, PD Online will also live broadcast all the press conferences to be held at the centre.
