Kuala Lumpur/Singapore/Beijing – MTV Networks Asia announced that Malaysia will play host to MTV’s first originally produced MTV WORLD STAGE event on 15 August 2009 at Sunway Lagoon Resort in Kuala Lumpur. The outdoor concert event will feature live performances from chart-topping UK band Kasabian, platinum recording artists All American Rejects, Malaysia’s Estranged and more. MTV WORLD STAGE ‘Live in Malaysia’ will be staged in front of a live audience of about 15,000 and premiere on MTV Asia on 28 August 2009 at 8:00pm (GMT+8 hours). It will air across Asia on MTV channels premiering on MTV Asia to 13 territories (28 August), MTV China (4 September), VH1 India (4 September), MTV Philippines, (4 September), MTV Indonesia (FTV, 11 September), MTV Taiwan (11 September), and MTV Korea (12 September).
