Singapore – ESPN STAR Sports (ESS) announced the appointment of Stephen Richardson as vice-president of human resources, where he will be responsible for the strategic development and management of human resources. Richardson will be based in Singapore and will report directly to Manu Sawhney, managing director, ESPN STAR Sports. Richardson has worked in a number of key human resources (HR) roles in the UK and the Asia Pacific region. He was most recently with the Fonterra Group where, as the HR director for Asia, Middle East and China, he led a team of 30 HR professionals covering 12 countries and over 2,300 employees. Prior to that, Richardson has worked with many leading organizations including the ANZ Division of International Paper as general manager of HR, and with Mercer HR Consulting’s London and Auckland offices as a senior consultant He started his career with British Airways plc, as a HR manager overseeing systems development and training.
