London/Los Angeles – Target Entertainment has concluded a slew of TV and DVD sales to clients in Australia and New Zealand, spanning drama, entertainment and documentaries. The deals were negotiated by London – based director of international DVD, Chris Rayson, and LA – based senior vice president of sales and acquisitions, Glen Hansen. On the DVD front, Target Entertainment has sold the Australian and New Zealand DVD rights to a package of programming from US based independent production company 51 Minds to distributor Shock Entertainment, including the entertainment titles Rock of Love (series one and two) and Flavor of Love (series one and two). Fellow DVD distributor Rialto Distribution has picked up the Australian and New Zealand rights to the following dramas, documentaries and entertainment shows: Kudos Film and TV’s BBC1 drama The Amazing Mrs Pritchard; Ain’t Misbehavin’ a wartime comedy produced by Clapp Trapp Productions for SMG; SMG Productions’ The Advocates; BBC1 drama The Ambassador (series one and two) produced by Ecosse Films; Scarlet Television’s ITV documentary Diana’s Last Day; Entertainment series Cops Cars & Superstars, produced by Giant Film and TV and Tiger Aspect Production’s documentary series Future Fighting Machines. Meanwhile, Hansen has closed a range of deals for programming from the Target Entertainment catalogue to terrestrial, cable and satellite channels in Australia and New Zealand. The highlights include: 30 – hour drama package to Hallmark Channel Australia, including Rebus (SMG Productions), Bike Squad (Hat Trick), The Chatterley Affair (BBC Wales), The Trial of Tony Blair (Daybreak Pictures); Sale of The Amazing Mrs Pritchard to Australian premium cable network Showcase; 30 – hour documentary package to Australia cable network Foxtel; Pre – sale of Rabbit Film’s entertainment series The Dudesons (series three) to New Zealand broadcaster C4 and Australia’s XYZ Networks (Channel V); Raft of entertainment show deals, including Hamma & Glamma’s special Soundtrack to my Life to both XYZ Networks (Channel V) and ABC2, series one and two of Twofour Broadcast’s Exposed: Life Through a Lens and Sixth Sense with Colin Fry to Sky TV New Zealand and Rock of Love to commercial channel Network Ten Australia.
