Hong Kong – BBC Knowledge announced the launch of China: Stories from the Middle Kingdom, in July in celebration of the people, history and culture of the largest country in the world. China: Stories from a Middle Kingdom is a collection of programmes offering audiences factual entertainment about China from different perspectives – the highlight being the world premiere of the three-part series, Beijing: Biography of an Imperial Capital, which tells the story of China’s capital from its roving beginnings to its dynasties. In addition to Beijing: Biography of an Imperial Capital, other programmes featured in China: Stories from the Middle Kingdom include – Secrets of the Forbidden City, Chinese School, Paul Merton in China , Full Circle with Michael Palin and Road to Beijing.
