Jerusalem, Israel – Christian TV network Daystar Television Network is using the SatLink Communications teleport to launch the TV channel to SatLink’s AsiaSat 2 Multiple Channels Per Carrier (MCPC) digital platform to reach Asia. Daystar is a family and ministry oriented channel providing interdenominational and multi-cultural programming including contemporary music videos, animation, original programs such as Celebration and the Joni Show, and is available in the US and various countries via multiple satellites, TV stations, and cable systems. SatLink’s transmission solution includes downlinking to its teleport near Jerusalem, as well as uplink and capacity on its full transponder for distribution to cable head-ends, re-broadcasters and individual home viewers in the region. Located at 100.5 degrees East, AsiaSat 2’s C-band beam covers China, India, Indonesia and other mass markets, totaling 53 territories in Asia, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, CIS and Australasia. AsiaSat 2 also includes the largest number of foreign channels allowed by the Chinese government, with many transmitted directly from SatLink’s teleport.
