Singapore – ESPN STAR Sports (ESS) will broadcast thirteen matches including all quarter-final, semi-final and final matches of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Under-19 Cricket World Cup live and exclusive on STAR Cricket. The tournament is being held in Malaysia across seven competition venues from February 17-March 2, 2008, and involves top cricketing nations including India, Australia, England, and Bangladesh. The live matches are being hosted by cricket presenter Alan Wilkins and former cricket internationals. In addition, reports and updates from the tournament with daily highlights of pool matches will feature on ESPN’s SportsCenter. The Stars of the Tournament show will follow the progress of top players at the event. ESS holds the exclusive global telecast rights from the International Cricket Council (ICC) for all ICC events from 2007 to 2015. These include two ICC Cricket World Cups, in Asia (2011) and Australasia (2015), at least three ICC Champions trophy tournaments, two ICC Twenty20 World Championships, Cricket World Cup qualifiers, four ICC U/19 Cricket World Cups, and for the first time, the Women’s Cricket World Cup.
