Hong Kong – Following 9% year–on-year growth in advertising expenditure for two consecutive months in Hong Kong, only a 2% increase was recorded in September 2007 compared to the same period last year, reaching HK$4.4billion ($US567million), according to Nielsen Media Research’s Hong Kong Advertising Information Services (AIS) monthly report. By media, radio was the star performer with a 30% jump for the month, followed by other outdoor media/cinema (up 20%). Compared to September last year, TV’s share of total ad spend in Hong Kong dropped by 2%, while the shares for print, radio and MTR remained stable at 51%, 4% and 3% respectively.
