Manila – SkyCable will be one of the first cable providers in the world to carry Sony Pictures Entertainment Networks Asia’s brand new channel AXN Beyond by Jan. 1, 2008. A spin-off channel of the widely popular action adventure station AXN, AXN Beyond will spotlight more sci-fi, supernatural, paranormal and out-of-the-ordinary shows. The line-up includes first-run deals for The Dresden Files, a mystery/fantasy series based on the books by Jim Butcher and exec-produced by Nicolas Cage. Also available first on AXN Beyond will be sci-fi series PainKiller Jane, based on the cult comic book series of the same name. SkyCable is also beefing up its channel line-up with Foxcrime; Disney Channel for subscribers to SkyCable Silver and KIDSCO on SkyCable Gold. Apart from these international channels, from Jan 1 2008, SkyCable will also air locally syndicated channels, including chic women’s channel Velvet, and testosterone-fueled action and adventure channel MAXXX.
