Singapore– StarHub is adding Goal TV 1, Goal TV 2 and the new dedicated English Premier League (EPL) channel, Football Channel, to its cable TV Sports Group package from August 11, 2007. That will bring Sports Group channels from four to seven. StarHub will also stream EPL matches airing on Football Channel live via value-added services i.View and MobileTV Xtra for its broadband and mobile customers respectively at no extra charge until the end of the EPL season in May 2008. StarHub will air 370 matches this season and offer viewers up to 10 EPL matches weekly, with eight of these airing live. Most of the matches will be televised on Football Channel, with up to three live EPL simulcast matches to be aired on StarHub’s other self-packaged sports channels, SuperSports and SuperSports Plus. Four live and two delayed matches will be aired on Saturdays, with another four live matches to be scheduled on Sundays and Tuesdays. Supplementary EPL programs will also feature in the EPL coverage.
