London- Sanjay Nazerali will join BBC’s Global News Division in the newly created post of Controller of Marketing, Communications & Audiences from September. Nazerali will report to Richard Sambrook, Director of BBC Global News Nazerali will lead the MC&A teams at BBC World Service, BBC World television, BBC Monitoring and the BBC’s international facing online news services. He will also oversee the building of a single brand platform across the Global News Division and the development of a marketing communications strategy to ensure that each part of the division has maximum impact in a converging media environment. According to Sambrook, the company created the pan-divisional post to communicate a unified Global News message worldwide. Nazerali was formerly Managing Director of The Depot, a marketing consultancy he co-founded in 1998, where he worked with media clients including Channel 4, ITV, Discovery, the Sci-fi Channel, FX Channel, as well as BBC World Service and BBC World television.
