Hanoi – Vietnamese cable television channel VTC has bought the exclusive Vietnamese broadcast rights to the English Premier League (EPL), the most popular football league in Vietnam. VTC reached the three-year agreement with ESPN Star Sports – the owner of exclusive broadcast rights of EPL across Asia – and will begin the EPL broadcasts August 10. VTC can air live coverage of 200 EPL matches, weekly football highlights and also the rights to magazine coverage. Exclusive EPL rights for Vietnam were previously held by Vietnam Television (VTV).
