Mumbai- Neo Sports began live broadcast on July 1 across Japan, Korea and Taiwan following a carriage deal with Tokyo-based digital media platform developer and operator The New Media Group, K. K. (TNMG). TNMG is distributing Neo Sports on its World On-Demand IPTV platform, offering both packaged and a la carte deals. Viewers in the three territories will be able to access Neo Sports’ coverage of international and Indian cricket. TNMG will also work with Neo Sports in Q3 of 2007 to develop and launch community and interactive features around its content. Shashi Kalathil, Chief Executive Officer of Neo Sports Broadcast Pvt. Ltd., said the company hopes to reach the Indian diaspora in Japan, Korea and Taiwan through the carriage deal. Neo Sports made its debut in India on Oct. 1 2006 with the Challenger Series.
