Singapore- Kenneth Liang rejoined MediaCorp as Executive Vice President, TV Programming and Production, Channel 5 on June 1. Liang will oversee the full spectrum of Network Programming and Promotions (NPP5) as well as MediaCorp Studios’ Production functions for Channel 5 currently provided by its English Entertainment Productions (EEP). Liang was with the company in its Singapore Broadcasting Corporation (SBC) days, and has since held senior appointments in the Singapore Tourism Board and Economic Development Board. Concurrently, Chang Long Jong, Deputy CEO (Television) will head TV Programming and Productions for Channels 8 & U. This unit comprises Network Programming & Promotions (Chinese Broadcast), MediaCorp Studios’ Chinese Entertainment Productions (CEP) and Chinese Drama (CD) Divisions. The newly combined structures are expected to provide better integration and execution between programming, production and promotions for the respective channels.
