SMG partners Nielsen to measure and develop new media in China
Shanghai - Shanghai Media Group (SMG) and The Nielsen Company (Nielsen) are collaborating to measure usage of outdoor media and the internet, as well as the development of new media technology in China. Foxtel secures more satellite capacity
Sydney- FOXTEL has acquired six transponders on Optus' just-announced D3 satellite to deliver HD services, new channels and enhanced picture and sound quality. The pay TV platform will also migrate some of its digital services from the Optus C1 satellite to the D3 bird, which is due to launch in 2009, as well as taking options for a further two transponders for future service expansion.The new satellite will increase Optus' fleet capacity by more than 30%. Judge awards damages to Foxtel for piracy
Sydney March 28- The Federal Court has awarded Australia's dominant pay TV platform Foxtel more than A$1 million (US$800,000) in damages in a civil suit against Mod Shop, a technology business in Western Australia which allegedly provided equipment, software and information to pirates.
