Taiwan’s media scene has changed significantly since the beginning of the internet era. According to Nielsen Taiwan, only 18% of its population had access to the internet daily in 2000. Taiwan's National Communications Commission (NCC) has elected National Chengchi University Journalism Department Chairperson Su Herng as its new chairwoman to succeed Bonnie Peng, reports Taiwan News. The terms of Peng and three other members ran out, and only one of the four was reappointed to a new term. New York - Rainbow Media has secured licensing from Taiwan’s National Communications Commission (NCC) that will allow for WE tv’s launch in the country.
