Singapore - Two years after Al Jazeera English (AJE) started broadcasting on a pay-TV service in Singapore, it has been taken off the air, reports Today. SingTel has dropped Al Jazeera English from mio TV as the service "strives to enhance our channel offerings". Singapore - Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SingTel) announced its net profit for the quarter ended 31 December 2009 rose 24 percent to S$991 million, with its businesses in Singapore, Australia and regional mobile associates reporting improved performance.
