Al Jazeera chief ‘confident’ on Singapore licence
Singapore – Al Jazeera Managing Director Nigel Parsons has said he is confident the Qatar-based news network will be successful in its bid to launch in Singapore. Hong Kong- The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has awarded the Hong Kong internet and mobile TV rights to the Beijing Olympics to Wharf TV's i-Cable Sports Limited. i-Cable Sports Limited also acquired exclusive Hong Kong rights across all media platforms for the Olympic Games in Vancouver in 2010 and London in 2012.
