Cannes- Singapore's Monsoon Pictures and Dutch filmmakers IdtV Film will co-produce a US$6.5 million feature film to chronicle the Maria Hertogh riots, an event dating back to Singapore's colonial history. China’s film industry “in the fast lane”
Beijing- China's film industry is developing in the fast lane, with total box-office revenue reaching 2.6 billion yuan (US$340 million) in 2006, Han Sanping, president of the China Film Group Corporation, said during a visit to the Communication University of China in Beijing. Cartoon Festival animates Hangzhou
Beijing- More than 230 companies have set up booths in the animation expo at the third China International Cartoon and Animation Festival, which runs from April 28 to May 4 in Hangzhou.
