Sydney- Australia’s dominant paybox FOXTEL has secured exclusive Australian television rights to the 24-hour global concert series Live Earth, which aims to use music to engage people worldwide to combat the climate crisis. To be staged on July 7 2007, Live Earth will bring together an international line-up of more than 150 artists and musicians performing at seven concerts across seven continents – Australia, Japan, China, South Africa, the UK, South America and the US. FOXTEL will also act as host broadcaster of the Australian leg of Live Earth, supplying the international television feed from the concert at Sydney’s Aussie Stadium. The Australian concert is expected to kick off the global initiative to use music to combat the climate crisis with the message that only we can Save Our Selves (SOS).
