Seoul-Korea's Educational Broadcasting System (EBS) will launch the country's first English education channel on April 6 on the Skylife satellite broadcasting service. Foxtel secures more satellite capacity
Sydney- FOXTEL has acquired six transponders on Optus' just-announced D3 satellite to deliver HD services, new channels and enhanced picture and sound quality. TWI to produce English Premier League coverage for more three seasons
London- TWI, the sports production arm of IMG Media, has been reappointed to produce and distribute all English Premier League soccer matches for the international TV market for another three years. The deal commences in the 2007/ 08 season and will offer international licensees all 380 matches live via satellite, including 92 in HD. Tokyo - National Association of Japanese Commercial Broadcasters (Minporen) has expelled Kansai Telecasting Corp. (KTV), after revelations that bogus scientific data was used in its quiz/variety show Hakkutsu Aruaru Daijiten II (Encyclopedia of Living II) in January.
